By His Spirit : Message

Not by Power nor By Might but by My Spirit
Zechariah 4: 4-14

This passage has to do with the rebuilding of the temple and the message was given to Zechariah a prophet to Zerubbabel (kingly role) and Joshua (priestly role) as they were re-starting from the work-stoppage for the Temple rebuilding project .

Zerubbabel will complete rebuilding the New Temple by dependence on His Spirit. The two anointed ones (2 Olive trees) represent the role of the king & the priest. Through the anointing of the Spirit, which is the olive oil, the seven lamps of the Lampstand which represents the church (and the family) is fuelled and lit. However, it is not by Might (the role the priest) nor by Power (the role of the King) that will complete the work of the temple but by the Spirit.As we begin on a new phase of journeying with God in our lives, the lord wants to remind us that in Christ we are all royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), however we need to let the Spirit work in us, with us and through us to fulfill our destiny in Christ.
