A few days before Grace painted the orcas, I had a dream of orcas in the ocean carrying children safely to their destination, almost like water vehicles.

I don't usually attend Soakability Church, but on that Sunday morning I felt a strong prompting from the Holy Spirit to visit. I was amazed to walk into the service and see Grace painting the very image I had seen in my dream.

I later acquired the painting, especially knowing that Grace had generously donated the proceeds to support a missionary family building a school in Nepal.

For me, the painting was a beautiful confirmation of what God had already been speaking to my heart. It reminded me that He is constantly weaving our lives together according to His purposes.

Through Grace's art, I see God's messages expressed in a visual and creative way. Just as each brushstroke contributes to the whole painting, God is intentionally at work in each of our lives, creating something beautiful that only He can see in its fullness.— Hadassha

I first noticed Grace's squirrel painting while attending a series of training sessions at Soakability. Although it was displayed quietly in a corner of the sanctuary, I found myself drawn to it each time I visited. Eventually, I felt I needed to discover the story behind it.

The painting reminded me that God's love is expressed not only through our words, but also through acts of kindness and compassion. Like the squirrel faithfully gathering and planting seeds, it speaks of quietly sowing seeds of hope, love and encouragement that can grow and bear fruit in the lives of others.

When displayed alongside a painting of the lion (Lion of Judah), the two artworks beautifully complement one another. The lion reminds me of the importance of prayer, while the squirrel reminds me that prayer is lived out through practical acts of love and service.

On Singapore's 61st National Day this painting will be unveiled and be displayed in the prayer space at the Heritage Chapel in my church, where people gather to pray for revival in our nation and the church in Singapore. My hope is that we will see the church arise, carried by a new wind to live out the works that Jesus did - sowing seeds of hope, kindness and faithfulness wherever they are. - Esther Tzer Won

The painting hangs above the desk in my room. Recently, I began facing another painful health issue. Each time I walk into the room and see the butterflies, I'm reminded once again to place my hope in Him and trust that He will carry me through this season, just as He has before. - Sally Ng (Grace's Sister-in-law)

I received this painting from Grace as a gift for my 70th birthday in 2023. Earlier that year, I had undergone heart bypass surgery and was still recovering. The pain and side effects were a daily challenge.

When I first saw the painting, I loved it immediately because purple is my favourite colour and the butterflies are purple. But because the painting came from Grace, I also paid attention. I felt that God had something He wanted to remind me of.

To me, the butterflies represent freedom. Although my health challenges and pain often made me feel limited, the painting reminded me that Jesus has set me free. Butterflies also speak of transformation, giving me hope that I would not only recover but be changed through the journey.
